Jeremy Spitzer is a lifelong Illinois resident, graduating Cum Laude from Judson University. During Law school, he worked for the American Center for Law and Justice and the Attorney General of Virginia. He joined the Illinois Bar in 2009 and has provided legal services to Lake, Cook, and surrounding Counties since then. He has successfully tried numerous civil and family law trials. In addition, he has extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in criminal, probate, and estate planning matters and has represented many clients with their real estate closings.
Jeremy is a certified mediator in Lake County, a court-appointed Child Representative, and a Guardian Ad Litem – regularly representing the best interests of minor children in complex litigation.
Jeremy is an active member of the United States District Court Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County, and the Jefferson Inn Association. He has been frequently requested to speak at legal seminars and trainings.

Julia M. Keenan is a lifelong resident of Lake County. She joined Spitzer Law Group as an associate attorney practicing family and employment law. Julia graduated from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a degree in Psychology, a minor in Spanish, and a focus on African American studies. She is a proud Lakes Community High School of Lake Villa, Illinois, alum.
Julia started her legal career practicing at two prominent global law firms. She is experienced in employment discrimination and wage-hour law, representing some of the country’s largest corporations in litigation and various corporate compliance issues. She has always had a passion for Family law. Before law school, she spent three years as a legal assistant in one of Waukegan’s local family firms.
Julia is passionate about providing her Family and Employment law clients with empathetic, easy-to-understand advice that promotes healing and values diversity. On most nights, you can find her with her husband, James, and their two cats – Tiger and Franklin – relaxing on their back deck at their home in Lake Villa, Illinois.
