Jeremy Spitzer is a lifelong Illinois resident, graduating Cum Laude from Judson University. During Law school, he worked for the American Center for Law and Justice and the Attorney General of Virginia. He joined the Illinois Bar in 2009 and has provided legal services to Lake, Cook, and surrounding Counties since then. He has successfully tried numerous civil and family law trials. In addition, he has extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in criminal, probate, and estate planning matters and has represented many clients with their real estate closings.

Jeremy is a certified mediator in Lake County, a court-appointed Child Representative, and a Guardian Ad Litem – regularly representing the best interests of minor children in complex litigation.

Jeremy is an active member of the United States District Court Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County, and the Jefferson Inn Association. He has been frequently requested to speak at legal seminars and trainings.

Jeremy resides in Lake County with his wife, two children, and pet boxer Lennox. He takes great pride in his representation of clients, will be honest and truthful, and will help guide you through your legal needs.

Julia M. Keenan is a lifelong resident of Lake County. She joined Spitzer Law P.C. as an associate attorney practicing family law, employment law, and general civil practice. Julia graduated from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a degree in Psychology, a minor in Spanish, and a focus on African American studies. She is a proud Lakes Community High School of Lake Villa, Illinois, alum. Julia started her legal career practicing at two prominent global law firms. She is experienced in employment discrimination and wage-hour litigation, representing some of the country’s largest corporations in litigation and various corporate compliance issues. She has always had a passion for Family law. Before law school, she spent three years as a legal assistant in one of Waukegan’s local family firms.
At Spitzer Law P.C. Julia is building an employment and civil litigation practice from the ground up. She is proud to represent multiple clients in both state and federal court around the country.

While she’s prepared to advocate aggressively when a case calls for it, Shanthi doesn’t see conflict as the goal. She tailors her approach to each client’s unique circumstances—recognizing that litigation is the right fit for some, while mediation or settlement better serves others—always aiming to protect what matters most to her clients while minimizing unnecessary strain along the way.

Shanthi holds a certificate in Divorce Mediation from Northwestern University, having completed their 40-Hour Divorce Mediation Skills Training, and has also completed a 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training through A Safe Place.

Colleagues and clients alike describe Shanthi as empathetic, dependable, thoughtful, and calm under pressure. She’s known for taking the time to truly listen and for explaining complex legal matters in a way that helps clients feel more confident, not more confused. Outside the office, Shanthi cherishes time with her husband and two young children. She’s an avid traveler who has explored many countries internationally and now enjoys domestic trips with her family, with international adventures on the horizon as her kids get older. She and her husband also share a love of trying new restaurants and recipes—a tradition that began in New York City and has followed them through every city they’ve called home since.
